2026 MeadoWatch Pollinator Monitoring Orientations

Our first cohort of 28 volunteers collected pollinator interaction data in 2025. Together, we completed 51 data sheets, observing a total of 749 pollinator interactions and building a baseline plant-pollinator network for the Reflection Lakes and Glacier Basin trails.

We are inviting any interested MeadoWatchers to attend a pollinator orientation this spring if they would like to collect plant-pollinator interaction data at the MeadoWatch plots!

At the MeadoWatch Pollinator Orientations, you will learn to identify insect pollinator orders, record flower visitation data, and safely hike the MeadoWatch trails. No prior experience needed. Please sign up for one of the following:

Saturday June 6th at University of Washington (Seattle) 1:30-4pm Sign up here!
Tuesday June 9th at University of Washington (Seattle) 6-8:30pm Sign up here!

There is currently no online option for the MeadoWatch Pollinator Program.

As always, if you have any questions don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you on the trails!
