Welcome to Online Orientation!
If you are a returning volunteer, you have the option to participate in online orientation instead of attending an in-person session!
Steps for online orientation:
1. Sign the NPS and UW waivers.

You can also find these waivers in the 2024 orientation quiz and download them from there.
2. Watch the orientation videos on the MeadoWatch YouTube channel.
You should start with the Welcome & Background videos before moving on to Species ID.
3. Complete the 2024 Orientation Quiz.
This year’s quiz is 30 points total, and you will need at least 24/30 to pass. You are more than welcome to use our volunteer resources while taking the quiz and you may retake the quiz multiple times!
Optional: If you want an extra way to prepare for the quiz, you can use our CRAM study materials!
The quiz will also include a section for you to upload your completed waivers. If you can't upload the waivers in the quiz, you can also email us your waivers ([email protected]).

Once you have completed and passed the 2024 orientation quiz, we will email you a park entry letter, camping information, and links to sign up for hikes. We will begin sending these emails on June 3rd (when calendars open) and will continue accepting responses to the quiz until mid-August. We will be doing this manually so thank you for your patience -- we will try our best to get back to you as quickly as possible!
